Two Gates Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2022

Produced by Te Awanga Estate, Two Gates vines are planted on classic Hawke’s Bay river terraces, chosen for their cool nights and low rainfall. Grapes grown here will continue to exhibit finesse, balance and complexity as the vines age and our organic approach builds the uniqueness of our handcrafted wines.

A mix of hand and machine picking then pressed straight to barrel. Barrel fermented with indigenous yeast and aged on lees for 6 months. In this time full malo-lactic fermentation was also completed. Bottled without fining in October 2022.

The Chardonnay displays stone fruit, honeysuckle and citrus on the nose, with a hint of toasty oak. The palate is richly textured and full of stone fruit, honey, brioche and a spicy oak complexity. 13% ABV.
