At the end of the 19th century, a small group of Trappist monks fled from France to Berkel-Enschot. There, in the heart of Brabant, Holland, they embraced this former country residence of King Willem II - the Koningshoeven - as their new home. They founded their monastery there and decided to brew ale. To this day they fill their lives here with prayer and work. In peace and quiet.

The Quadrupel is a classic Belgian strong dark ale. Characteristically this Trappist ale and the source for the name of this ale style. Warm, amber-coloured with a cream-coloured head. The full, heart-warming and intense taste is malty with sweet tones of dates and caramel. 10.0% ABV.
