Gnarly Head Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Located in Lodi, Central Coast, California, Gnarly Head wines began with a vision in 2004. On a mission to make a serious Zinfandel, Gnarly's winemakers quickly discovered the head-trained, spur-pruned, 100 year old gnarled vines produced not just fantastic zinfandel, but incredible chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon as well.

Grown in the head-trained, spur-pruned method for over a century, these vigorous gnarled vines produced more ripened red fruit than they had ever seen. They took it as a challenge to create the biggest, boldest Cabernet Sauvignon they had ever made. The result was a truly authentic, structured red with a hint of something unexpected.... something Gnarly!

This wine isn't for the faint hearted. It's big, bold and powerful! The palate is loaded with dark fruit flavours with a touch of spice and the finish is deliciously long. Full bodied and smartly oaky, this complex and spicy-tasting wine offers rich blackberry and blueberry flavors laced with prominent oak notes of grilled baguette, cardamom and cinnamon. Moderate tannins help keep it in balance. 13% abv.

Pair with grilled red meat or strong cheeses. Fantastic!
